ATTN: SCREENWRITERS AND FILMMAKERS

Are You Ready for the 3-Day

Micro Movie Challenge

Are You Ready for the 3-Day

Micro Movie Challenge?

(NOTHING To Do With Feature-Length Frustration, Endless Drafts, Or Scripts that Never Get Read)

Long-form storytelling is hard.

Hard to write. Even harder to sell and get made.

But shorts are a powerful mode of expression because they're a showcase of what's possible in longer-form material.

And the 1-page Micro Movie is a badass way to go because it's so focused and easy to land.

EVERYBODY has time to check out your 1-page screenplay.

(And this leads directly into our next training: MICRO MOVIE - Make it with AI)

But why one page?

Because almost everything you need to learn about pagecraft—structure, rhythm, voice—can be revealed in a single page.

Brevity sculpts your power.

One page.

One full story.

Beginning, middle, end.

A hero, a goal, a conflict.

And your unique voice, screaming on the page.

What we'll cover:

Day 1 (Oct. 8) – Ideation, Big Picture & Ideal Viewer

 • Brainstorm the kind of ideas that work as 60-second micromovies (and spot the ones that don’t).
 • Explore how to adapt a scene from your screenplay—or spark something brand new.
 • Identify your Ideal Viewer to laser-focus your impact on the right audience.

Day 2 (Oct. 9) – Structure & Story Choices

 • Outline and sketch the rough draft of your idea.
 • Nail the spine: beginning, middle, end.
 • Make the hero-goal-conflict crystal clear so your story lands as a complete experience.

Day 3 (Oct. 10) – Voice & Flow

 • Refine word choices, phrasing, and rhythm so your writing feels SOOO you.
 • Practice live reads in breakout rooms—feel how it plays aloud.

Follow-Up Sessions AND Live Readings

 • For two weeks after the 3-day sprint, we’ll gather again for one-minute live reads of your micromovies.
 • Hear your story performed. Hear others’ stories. Feel the energy of brevity and focus. Bring your popcorn and Milk Duds!

Why it matters...

When you distill a story to one page, you build muscles that translate into everything else: your features, your series, your content.

And these one-page micromovies are perfect to share online. Short. Impactful.

This is high-nutrition storytelling your fans can feel instantly—whether as text OR as we’ll explore in the next treating: with AI images or full-on video.

✅ By the end of this training, you’ll walk away with a polished one-page Micro Movie—short enough to share anywhere, strong enough to spark fans who will fall in love with your unmistakable voice.

Highly recommended."
